Adopt-A-Books
- Students who have a strong desire to take good care of their books may adopt one of the books currently in our library. With a $10 donation - which goes to future book purchases - they will receive a certificate, a bookmark, and have their picture taken with the book they have selected from our current collection.

Media Moments

Students are welcome to check-out books whenever they bring back booksor are in need of new books for pleasure or research. Teachers may send them down daily.

Classes are scheduled each week – check with your child’s homeroom teacher for their particular library time. Classes also meet weekly in the computer lab.

Curriculum integration is an important key in what is presented in both the media center and tech lab. Classes may meet more often to complete projects and research. Students work in the technology center on projects that tie into various areas of the curriculum. Students are using computers as a learning
tool. Software that are integrated into the curriculum include:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
            Safari and Firefox (web-based applications)
            Gaggle (secure student email accounts)
iLife Suite (including iDVD, iMovie, iPhoto and Garage Band)
             KidPix (a graphics-based writing/drawing application)

New books are purchased and added to the collection at various times during the year.

Grades 4-5 will be reading the Golden Sower titles independently. They will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite one in the Spring if they have ead and reported on at least 4 of the 10 titles. Quizzes are online – just ask Mrs. Fees or Mrs. Larson if you need help. Students who read at least 9 of the titles are invited to participate in the Golden Sower Award Quiz Bowl. Students in grades K-3 will be read the titles at their level – voting will be held and a winner selected at Ezra.
